Quick Esther Fix

Since y’all can’t come over and see Esther every day (you poor sad people), and we get sad if we don’t see her for a few hours,  I figured I’d be nice and post a few recent pictures real quick. :D

Esther is drinking from cups!! :D She LOVES water… it’s quite amusing. She spreads her arms out and then wham! Brings them in really quick to get the cup. :D

Is this not THE cutest picture you’ve ever seen?? :D :D

Aw!! :D

More Esther Pictures…

… since it’s been a while and I’m quite sure you can’t have enough. :D

Esther with a cup on her head.

Last night Esther got stuck on the loveseat with some laundry… (yes, she is actually by herself on occasion now…)

Examining a book.

Reading the book. :D

Oooh! A camera! Can I grab it? (She has discovered grabbing… in fact, she spilled her first cup of liquid a few days ago. :D )

Very happy!

I’m gonna get you!!

She’s so CUTE!!!! :D

Okay, hopefully that is enough cuteness to tide y’all over for a while… Esther is getting really big. As in, chubby. And as in development. She’s been teething quite a bit lately… (poor baby) and is playing with toys, hitting wind chimes, “eating” everything she can, grabbing noses and hair, rolling off of us, trying to scoot along, all that sort of thing. :)

P.S. I only took the laundry picture… all the others were taken by various siblings.

Esther, FOUR months old!

Here’s a two minute video we took of Esther last night… and yes, we were all sitting around watching Esther and laughing. Who needs TV??? :D

Randomness

Hmm… I wonder why anyone ever looks at this blog… I post such odd things.

Oh wait.  Maybe that is why…

So, we started Life science! With Dr. Gary Parker! :D hehe, I have to admit it’s cool to get taught by the guy who wrote the text book.

Anyways, that only sort of explains the above thing. It’s alive, hence life science. And it was at Dr. Parker’s, hence that part. Josiah actually found it on the way in… and we all thought it was very cool. And, being that it was the Parker’s house, we brought it in. And, of course, they were both thrilled and fascinated. Scientists (I say scientists, not evolutionists, big difference.) are awesome people. :D Somehow or other, it appears that the fungi grew… through and around the vine.

Esther LOVES being outside…

Cool clouds… (though, heh, when are clouds ever not cool??)

Josiah reading life science with Esther

UFO!!

The boys building a chicken coop. :D

Emily with our Neem tree! It’s over five feet tall already, just since spring time.

Hannah, with the dress she (and I and mama) sewed and designed! :D Didn’t it turn out awesome? It almost didn’t. But we won’t go into that…

We just thought this shot looked neat. :)

Esther “standing” on the counter. She loves standing up. Haha, papa is just now commenting on the fact that she’s actually sitting right now… but he says she’s about done sitting. :D She also loves the ceiling. Seriously. She will be staring at it and then suddenly break into a huge open- mouthed baby grin. It’s awesome. :D

There! Hopefully that was a sufficiently random dose of mannness! (wow, that is a lot of n’s)

Caught on Film!

I did it!! I got a video!! Of Esther! LAUGHING! :D

Cuteness Overload

Esther update: she’s almost 3 months old already!! I keep telling her I don’t know how we are going to be able to stand it if she gets any cuter, but she doesn’t listen and just keeps on getting cuter every day. I don’t know what’s going to happen…

We all (nearly) constantly exclaim over how cute she is… and often we look at each other in amazement and just say… WE have a BABY! It’s so special and exciting. :) We definitely have no need of a TV now… we just watch Esther. hehe.

She’s getting so big! She’ll be walking in a few weeks, probably. (And yes I am kidding, we just like to joke about that…)

Likes: Nursing, jumping up and down, nursing, tongues, nursing, picture books, nursing, funny noises, nursing, bouncing, nursing, wind chimes, nursing, outside, nursing… things like that. Mostly nursing.

Dislikes: Not nursing. It’s a tragedy. She also doesn’t like it when people make loud, (very) strange noises. It has to be quite strange, since she hears lots of noises…

Discoveries: She has a tongue! And she can stick it out! And it’s fun! She can blow bubbles! Lots of them! She also can make funny noises (which people try to copy but don’t do a very good job at)! And do this thing that makes everyone exclaim loudly! (It’s called laughing)

Seriously, this baby is too cute. Even when she cries. :D

(I tried to tell her that she really shouldn’t cry while wearing her “be happy” dress, but she didn’t listen…)

A slight demonstration of bubble blowing… hehe.

Oh my!

AND, as if that wasn’t enough cuteness, we have chicks. (Don’t tell North Port, please. ) Three of them! Hehe! They chirp incessantly. And they are in our room at night… thankfully we have this handy little feature called being raised in a big and noisy family– so it doesn’t bother us much…

This is my favorite one… I don’t know what it’s name is, though. (I just found out its name is Tad.)

And on top of that we have a little hamster (His name is Joshua Erik)… Is it possible to die from over exposure to cuteness?

Various and Sundry Things [Mainly Esther]

Yes, that’s an order.

A glorious sunrise…

Clouds are awesome. :)

So, Esther is learning to read… :D (okay, not really. But she does like looking at pictures!)

“What does he have on his head??”

Potato peeling party! :D

A tiny toad!

What Did We Do Before Esther??

I think that life must have been very boring and bleak before she came along… however did we survive??

Isn’t she SO CUTE??? I know I always say that (I do in real life, too… :P ) but it’s still true! :D
